Hello Team OBFF
Here I am in my office just one month away from Christmas asking the question “Where did this year go?” Christmas is a very special time for Cathy and I with our large family of 32 consisting of Cathy’s Dad and Mom, our six married children and sixteen grandkids and of course Cathy and I. So many changes have come in our family this year as our daughter, Tara, and her husband, Gary, moved to BC with him being hired with the RCMP last year. He was stationed just outside Surrey. They have with them three of our grandkids: Zander, Zoe and Zane. Christmas won’t be the same but with the technology we have we will all connect.
Christmas Harvest Opportunity
In this season we don’t want to forget that many folks in Canada and around the world stop from their busyness, careers, and often chaotic life to celebrate our Savior’s birth. There is such an openness in our community towards Christmas this year. Cathy and I have shared for the last month at WCF a simple message on soul winning and the six styles of witnessing which all of us have at least one of. We have encouraged the entire congregation to share their faith with someone this Christmas. We are handing out 5000 personal invitations to the unsaved, unchurched and unreached folks in our city. Let’s all do our part to share our story and HIS STORY and together they can have their own story of how Christ has changed their lives.
Gratitude for Connect Days
I want to encourage each one of us at OBFF this year to count our blessings personally and approach this incredible season with an overflow of gratitude. The longer I live the more revelation on the subject of gratitude seems to come my way. I am so thankful for the nation we live in, the family God has entrusted to me, the church he has placed me in here in Windsor and the fellowship and family that each one of you are to Cathy and I at OBFF. The relationships have been strengthened incredibly this year as we celebrated Connect Days across Canada and last year’s national conference was to many the best ever. Over the last 45 days we did four Connect Days in Toronto, Ottawa, Sudbury and Welland and each one was an amazing experience! Our friends in ministry from CFCM joined us in the last 2 events of the year. President Dave McGrew has blessed us with his presence and speaking and the unity we are all experiencing of co-operating and working with one another has been a great encouragement for both of our fellowships. Thank you for making the sacrifices of your time, finances and prayers that you made to be a part of these connection times.
Mentor Call Opportunity
The mentor calls have gone so much further than I had expected and I am incredibly humbled and thankful for the overwhelming affirmation and encouragement that so many of you have shared with me on and after the calls. With this technology that Melissa has set us up with, we are able to connect and impart to leaders across Canada and the world as some of our missionaries are regularly connecting with us from overseas. It is amazing technology and with the faces on the screen it’s just like being right there with you. I get so excited every month at the incredible opportunity to share leadership principles with you that can equip each one of us in the ministry that the Holy Spirit has given to us. Again a big thanks for all those who are connecting and if you’re interested in joining us on these calls contact Melissa and she will send you the link to login along with the study notes. Also if you’re not able to make that specific day all the messages are archived online for you to listen to at your convenience.
I want to thank all of you for sending in your MINISTER and MINISTRY forms this year, and those who have not I encourage to send them in promptly and we at OBFF are trusting 100% of renewals will be in our office before December 31. Thanks again for your attention, excellence and promptness in this matter.
OBFF National Conference
Last of all kindly mark your calendars for the National in 2017 on May 8-10, hosted here in Windsor. I encourage each one of you to plan on joining us and trusting that your investment of time and finances to come will bring great dividends to your ministry and team of leaders that you bring. We have come a long way from the first national we did in Toronto at the Prayer Palace just over ten years ago with 53 of us in attendance. I remember sharing the message of “Despise Not the Day of Small Beginnings” in an auditorium of over 5000 seats with the Prayer Palace choir singing for us with double the attendance that we had! Very humbling but stayed thankful and today God has blessed our fellowship with such a diverse, gifted, loving, generous, and faithful team of leaders that each one of you are.
May this be the best Christmas ever for you and your ministry, church and family. May this be the most fruitful season ever for each one of us and may we together reach the harvest in the fields that He has planted us in. let’s never forget the story- Luke 2:8-20- That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in highest heaven and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased." 15 When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, "Let's go to Bethlehem! Let's see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." 16 They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. 17 After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. 18 All who heard the shepherds' story were astonished, 19 but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. 20 The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. NLT
Blessings and thanks,
Rick and Cathy Ciaramitaro
Deut 1:11-12-And may the Lord, the God of your ancestors, multiply you a thousand times more and bless you as he promised! NLT
Hello Team OBFF
God is up to something fresh and alive in Canada and the world today! A major thrust of prayer is moving on the hearts of many leaders, pastors and congregations. We all know the reason that we as the temple of God exist is to be a House of Prayer for all Nations. Over the last several years at WCF we have been sending teams of worship leaders and prayer co-ordinators down to IHOP (international House of Prayer) in Kansas City, Missouri under the leadership of Mike Bickle. WCF has sent over 20 leaders to IHOP to be trained and they are now working in two hour slots of prayer and worship known as harp and bowl. Harp is worship and bowl is prayer. We have now 14 slots of two-hour prayer times and a new one opening up next month for Arabic speaking prayer folks from our congregation.
The cost to send one person is around $2000-$2200 as you have hotels, meals, registrations for conference, and air fares. We at WCF feel strongly to invest into churches and leaders in this area. After much prayer and planning we are bringing the IHOP team to WCF this Sunday, February 19-Saturday, February 26 for an entire week of training for the churches in Canada. I have approached our city pastor friends in the city of Windsor and they are partnering with WCF to see prayer established across our city 24 hours a day in the days to come. WCF and my friend’s churches are covering the expenses to bring this team into Windsor because we believe this is what the Holy Spirit is saying to us in our city at this time. Because of this support there is no registration for the conference, and we also are having limited billeting for teams coming in from out of town. Offerings will be taken up for IHOP at the night services only and will go for ongoing support of their ministry around the world. If you would like to send your prayer coordinators, intercessors, worship leaders and their teams, we will take as many as possible into the conference but I stress billeting is limited. So it’s on a first come first serve basis. Please contact Donna Penner at WCF with the names and folks coming and we will coordinate the billeting process with you for your teams.
Only one prerequisite is needed, that the folks do not come for part of the conference but the entire conference. The conference is designed in such a way to not just teach but activate prayer in the sessions up to minimum of 2 ½ hours a day. This is a window of opportunity for all of us at OBFF to go into, and if you’re interested then be the first to connect with us and we will put your names on the list and when the homes are filled then you will have to provide hotels for your folks. I thank you for your prayerful consideration of this gathering and look forward to hearing from you in the weeks to come.
